Responsible Renting
Please note, there should be no harassment, defamation of character, or retaliation from other association members towards any property owner that chooses to rent their property. Please respect the rights of your fellow property owners.
If you choose to rent your property or allow guests to stay when you are not there, please consider the following guidelines:
Owners that wish to rent their property will provide their contact information to the abutting property owners in the event that said neighbors believe there is a violation of these guidelines. Reasonable complaints about renter violations should be fielded and managed.
Renters should be in control of their pets at all times.
Quiet hours are between 10pm and 9am.
Large catered events are prohibited.
Along with these guidelines, renters should be provided with rules and regulations regarding ATV's, snowmobiles and water craft including PWC.
Trespass on neighboring properties, including walking pets and gathering firewood is prohibited.
Renters should respect headway speed in the lagoon and within 200 feet of all shore, rocks or small islets in Lily Bay per Maine state law.
Safe and sanitary storage and disposal of refuse is required for all properties. This may include a dumpster or barrels with tightly fitting lids. Free standing bags, boxes, overflowing barrels, etc. are prohibited.
These guidelines are in addition to any state, local or county laws that apply.
Sharing that LBIMC is a community of respectful neighbors that matter to one another encourages guests to enjoy your property responsibly.
