More Information in an Emergency

All of the properties on the mainland have been addressed with the Piscataquis County Emergency Management Agency as Lily Bay Road (except for the one on Tussle Road), and the islands have been registered as follows:

Long Island

Triple Cove Island

Sand Island (Woerner)

Double Point Island (Eldridge)

If you need emergency services it’s important to say: “I need Piscataquis County dispatch” because cell signals are often routed to other counties.

MAINLANDERS: Provide your road address and answer any questions dispatch may have.

ISLANDERS (Please let us know if you are unsure which island you are on): There is NO boat for rescue services when calling 911, and you will be instructed to get the person needing help to the landing. For any incident that might involve a spinal injury, consider leaving the person where they are and using a boat to bring paramedics with a backboard to their location. Click the button below to download a document for posting with this information as well as a list of names and numbers to call if you need assistance transporting someone.
